Great body work is only as good as the paint that finishes it. At Mike’s Body Shop we match color by computer and spray in a climate-controlled booth, then blend into the surrounding panels so a repair reads as original factory finish, not a patch. From a single scratched door to a full-vehicle color change, our refinishing work carries the same standards we have held in Jackson Hole since 1973.

Color Matching That Actually Matches

Faded paint, custom colors, tri-coat pearls, and metallics are where cheap paint jobs give themselves away. We read your vehicle’s paint code and fine-tune the mix with computerized color matching, then spray test cards before we ever touch the car. On a repaired panel we blend the new paint into the adjacent panels rather than stopping at a hard edge, so the transition disappears in the light.

Jackson’s intense high-elevation sun and long winters are hard on finishes. Getting the match right is not just about looks — it is about a repair that still looks right years down the road.

From Spot Repairs to Full Repaints

  • Spot repair — scratches, chips, and small scuffs handled quickly and affordably. Details on our spot repair page.
  • Panel painting — a single door, fender, hood, or bumper refinished and blended. See panel painting.
  • Bumper refinishing — plastic bumper covers repaired and repainted. See bumper repair.
  • Full vehicle repaint — color changes, restoration work, or extensive damage, with trim disassembly and reassembly for a clean, factory-style result.

A Proper Booth and Proper Prep

Most of paint quality is preparation. We clean, sand, and prime surfaces properly, mask carefully, and control dust and temperature in an enclosed spray booth. Base coat and clear coat are applied in controlled conditions and cured, then polished as needed. That controlled environment is the difference between a finish that lays down smooth and one that traps dust or orange-peels. Body and paint repairs are backed by our lifetime guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the new paint match the rest of my car?

Yes. We use computerized color matching and blend into adjacent panels, which is the key to an invisible repair — especially on faded, metallic, or pearl finishes. We spray test cards before painting the vehicle to confirm the match.

How much does painting a panel or bumper cost?

It depends on the panel, the color, and the prep required, so we quote it after seeing the vehicle. Bring it by for a free estimate and we will give you an honest price before any work begins.

How long does a paint job take?

A spot or single-panel refinish is often a couple of days, while a full-vehicle repaint takes considerably longer because of disassembly, multiple coats, cure time, and reassembly. We give you a firm timeline with your estimate.

Can you fix paint chips and rock chips from gravel roads?

Yes. Chips from Teton County’s gravel roads are one of the most common jobs we see. We can address them before exposed metal starts to rust.

Do you offer a warranty on paint work?

Our body and paint repairs are backed by our lifetime guarantee for as long as you own the vehicle. If our workmanship does not hold, we make it right.
